SPORT, EDUCATION, NUTRITION

Three integrated pillars that define how Velokhaya develops athletes and students.

Moving Together

Progress Is Rarely Made Alone

Training environments matter. Standards matter. Community matters.

Velokhaya is built around shared effort. Athletes train alongside peers, supported by coaches, educators, and systems that value consistency and accountability. Momentum is created through repetition, discipline, and collective focus, day after day.

Pillar One

CYCLING PATHWAYS

Cycling is at the centre of Velokhaya's work. It provides challenge, competition, and a clear framework for growth. Our programmes offer structured pathways from early skill development through to elite competition.

01

BMX: Foundations of Skill

BMX is the entry point for younger riders. The technical demands of the track develop balance, bike handling, and confidence.

02

Road Cycling: Performance Pathway

For older athletes, road cycling focuses on endurance, race craft, and high volume training.

Pillar Two

EDUCATION, WITH EXPECTATION

Education is a core part of life at Velokhaya. Training and learning sit side by side. Athletes are expected to engage fully at school and in the learning lab, supported by structured study time and academic mentorship. The same standards apply everywhere. Effort matters. Consistency matters.

Academic Support

Partnerships with organisations such as The Answer Series and Infinite Family provide study resources and mentorship.

Pillar Three

NUTRITION AS PERFORMANCE

Nutrition supports training, recovery, and focus. It is part of how athletes perform and learn. Velokhaya provides regular, balanced meals as part of its daily programme, supporting consistent training and learning.

Core Programme

Daily Meals

Nutritious breakfast and lunch menus served every day to fuel training and learning.

Dignity First

We provide a family dining environment with proper crockery and cutlery to ensure dignity.

Community Powered

Meals are prepared by community volunteers—mothers and grandmothers—reinforcing local ownership.

Advocacy

ROAD SAFETY AND ADVOCACY

Velokhaya participates in road safety initiatives that support safer cycling environments for all road users. Through campaigns such as 'Look to Save Lives', we contribute to awareness.
